The massive wildfire burning in the Oklahoma Panhandle has grown significantly over the past 24 hours, putting farms and ranches across the region at risk.
According to the Oklahoma Forestry Service, the Ranger Road Fire has now burned an estimated 283,000 acres and is 15% contained. That is nearly double the size reported at this time yesterday, when the fire had consumed roughly 145,000 acres. Fire officials say the blaze has also spread north into Kansas.
A map released by state officials shows the vast footprint of the fire and the scale of the threat facing rural communities across the region.

I'm sorry...I  just saw this thread just now.    We 're ok...we're not in the area of the fire but the smoke seems to have spread enough that I'm coughing more than  my usual ( 🥰 Running). Thank you all for worrying about me. The winds yesterday were terrible. We  spent the day driving up north to Moore and Norman for a special lunch and big town shopping and it was very difficult keeping the truck on the road at times . I can see how a fire could double and triple with those winds.
I feel so bad for the farmers and their animals.   Oklahoma have a lot of cattle raising and everyone has horses and goats. Our humidity is crazy low for OK , things are dry dry. The winds are down so i'm hoping they get a better hold on this fire. No rain in the near future forecast tho.
Thanks again guys...I know I don't deserve your concern at times. I appreciate it more than you know!
