(Fortunately), I've never heard or heard of about 90% of them. Of those I have, I would probably rank "Disco Duck" as the #1 el primero Single Most Annoying Song Of All Time. (And with the possible exception of the Bee Gees,  "disco" songs are really in their own universe of annoying. Though with the Bee Gees, I still much prefer their pre-disco songs, like "I Started A Joke", "I've Just Gotta Get A Message To You", "Massachusetts", and "To Love Somebody".)

But, hey... come on... why would anything by the Coasters be on a list of "annoying" songs, much less the great classic, "Yakety Yak (Don't Talk Back!)". Much, much less be #8 on a list of 40!

I grew up on Coasters hits like that and "Charlie Brown" ("Oh, he's a clown. You better watch out, just you wait and see, why is everybody always picking on me?").

Or "Little Egypt" ("She walks! She talks! She crawls on her belly like a reptile!").

Or "Poison Ivy" ("You're gonna need an ocean of calamine lotion, you'll be scratchin' like a hound, the minute you start to mess around with...").

Or the rock classic, "Young Blood", and a million others by them.

Besides anything by the Coasters, I've always liked The Champs' "Tequila" (#7). And even The Newbeats' "Bread And Butter" (#5), though not as much.

I also disagree with some of the choices.  Some of the songs I've never heard (of).

Hate them all except Celine Dion (My Heart Will Go On) and James Blunt (You're Beautiful).

Worst Christmas song ever...Wham (Last Christmas).

I was in the hospital sick as a dog when "Who Let the Dogs Out" came out.  Listening to that song gives me  PTSD.

I forget which Gibb brother it was, but I always loved his high-pitched vibrato voice in those early Bee Gees songs. I knew a guy who could copy it by vibrating his throat with his fingers.
