I'm not convinced that this is a "threat" by Iran.

Remember Rule #1 of Warfare:  Never, ever underestimate the enemy.

When you have a nut case like Graham in you ear it does not help. His blood lust is a bit disturbing.

It certainly seems like a whim in some respects but Trump and Bibi were planning this last fall, plans completed by the end of the year.  Iran will not now talk to us because Trump used the negotiations to get everything prepared, military in place, etc.

Maybe it lies in the meaning of threat.  As I have watched it, Iran repeatedly tells us what they will do if we do such and such.  When we do it, they almost immediately respond as they said they would.  I would say they warned rather than threatened.

They certainly underestimated. No argument there at all.
