About the Film

2026 marks the year of Andrzej Wajda. His final masterpiece, Afterimage (2016), tells the moving story of avant-garde painter Władysław Strzemiński. Strzemiński famously resisted Stalinist orthodoxy, remaining faithful to his artistic convictions despite relentless political persecution.
