Polish Constitution Day Celebration


SUNDAY, May 4th at 5 PM


Celebrated annually in Poland, Constitution Day commemorates the adoption of the May 3rd Constitution of 1791—one of the first modern constitutions in the world. It marked a pivotal moment in Poland’s history and, following the country’s regaining of independence in 1918, was officially recognized as a national holiday.


Join us for a fun event featuring an engaging trivia competition on key historical facts about Poland, complete with prizes!


The evening will also include a short piano performance by Martin Labazevitch and reception featuring traditional Polish pierogi. Read more HERE

Brilliance and Legacy: Polish Jewish Nobel Laureates

Special Exhibition at KFDC


SUNDAY, MAY 11th at 5 PM




The Kosciuszko Foundation, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, is honored to invite you to a unique exhibition that celebrates Polish-born Jewish Nobel Prize winners.


While some Polish Nobel laureates, such as Maria Skłodowska-Curie (physics & chemistry), Czesław Miłosz and Wisława Szymborska (literature), and Lech Wałęsa (peace), are household names, there are many more exceptional Nobel Prize laureates, who rose from the Polish-Jewish heritage.


This exhibition seeks to shine a much-deserved light on these remarkable individuals and their extraordinary accomplishments

Witkacy: Madness, Art, and Adventure.

A Talk and Film Screening at KFDC


SUNDAY, June 1st at 5 PM


Celebrated as one of the most enigmatic and compelling figures of the European avant-garde, Polish artist and writer Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz—better known as Witkacy—continues to provoke thought and inspire curiosity today. This event explores Witkacy’s lasting relevance in the 21st century.


Join us for a conversation between Mark Rudnicki and Gertrude Gibbons as they discuss who Witkacy was, what he means for contemporary audiences, and how his legacy travels across disciplines and continents. The event will also feature a special screening of WITKACY & MALINOWSKI: A Cinematic Séance in 23 Scenes, a film by acclaimed Australian artist and filmmaker John Gillies. The film revisits Witkacy’s 1914 journey through the Australian countryside with anthropologist Bronisław Malinowski.
