Dear Guests of the KF DC Polish Film Festival, Five wonderful days and nine wonderful films are behind us!  Today - two more feature films and two shorts - they were among my very favorites at the Gdynia Film Festival in September 2024. I highly recommend them! After the last film, we will have a closing ceremony and announcements of the winners! The story is about an uncompromising commitment to our own unique truth, our own path in life. It’s about freedom. It buzzes with electricity, strikes with raw unpretentiousness and authenticity, and reminds us that we do have the right to our own freedom of expression, however unconventional and bizarre. I left this movie younger and bolder! Sunday, March 9th at 5:40 PM MINGHUN Preceded by short: Saudade Minghun is a truly masterful and poignant story depicting a personal journey through grief. Beautifully acted by Marcin Dorociński, the film is brimming with emotion and takes viewers on a metaphysical journey beyond earthly boundaries. However, it is not simply a sad film. On the contrary, it skillfully weaves elements of dark comedy, irony, and gentle humor, confronting the audience with two different attitudes toward death, ultimately leaving viewers with feelings of acceptance and hope.
