Say no to the Iran War and yes to health care

Policy Practice 2008,

When asked if there was any price tag that would make Trump’s attack on Iran unaffordable, Trump’s treasury secretary said, “absolutely not.”

But when we need health care, housing, or lower utility bills, Trump and the Republicans always say we can’t afford it.

We know the reason: the billionaires, CEOs, and corporate shareholders that buy off some politicians value their profits over our lives. That ain’t right.

This week, we’re saying “absolutely not” to spending our health care money on the war on Iran. Use our tool to tell Congress to vote no on more money for war, and to take our money back from the billionaires.

Then, use the resources below to keep the pressure on to get ICE out of our communities and keep families housed and together.

Politico says the U.S. is blowing $2 billion a day on this war that working people reject. Let’s get our money back.

In solidarity,

Derrick Crowe

Fund Health Care, Not War on Iran

Politico reports that we may be spending up to $2 billion a day on this outrageous war against Iran. Remember when Trump and his GOP allies said we couldn’t afford to keep people healthy, housed, and safe, then they gave our  money to billionaires in the Big Ugly Bill? We do! Tell Congress to stop the war on Iran and fund our health care!

Tell Congress: Rein in ICE and Border Patrol!

We are still fighting hard to get ICE and Border Patrol out of our communities. Congress is still negotiating over the bill that funds these agencies. Tell your elected officials that we demand civil rights protections and for them to slash funding for ICE. Contact Congress now.

Keep Families Together and Housed

Trump and his HUD officials are lying about “mixed-status” immigrant families and trying to turn them into scapegoats for the housing crisis. Help us fight back. Tell them you oppose their cruel, costly, and counterproductive attempt to separate families, which will kick tens of thousands of U.S. citizen children out of their homes. Let them know you want families kept together and housed, not terrorized. Add your voice: urge HUD Secretary Scott Turner to stop trying to separate families and make them homeless.

Support Housing Solutions, Not Cuts and Handcuffs!

The rent is too damn high—and it’s only getting worse. Across the country, corporate landlords and Wall Street investors like Blackstone and JPMorgan are driving up housing costs while millions of our neighbors are being forced into homelessness. Over 255+ new laws have been introduced to criminalize homelessness since the Supreme Court’s awful Grants Pass decision. And the budget passed by the House of Representatives would make this crisis worse. Tell your representatives to fight back.
