Six extreme MAGA Supreme Court justices just handed the presidency unfettered power. They said that the president has absolute immunity for all official acts taken as president. They asked in oral arguments “Could the president assassinate a political rival? Would that be covered by presidential immunity?” – and they answered YES. They said the president could NOT be held accountable. Policy, this decision is meant for one thing: protecting Donald Trump from prosecution. His extremist justices are working overtime to protect him from any responsibility. Donald Trump’s 2016 victory has seismically shifted the future of our democracy. If Trump wins again, he’ll permanently shift the United States toward fascism. As Sonia Sotomayor dissented: with fear for our democracy, I dissent.
