While elected leaders tear down the institutions and programs created to protect and support children and families, Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) is working to hold the line and shape child welfare for the future.

Today, families needing essential food assistance, childcare, healthcare, and housing are facing significant threats to their stability and safety, stemming from unparalleled cuts in government funding and safety net programs. This cruelty is already affecting children, families, and communities everywhere, challenging service organizations' capacity and persistence, and impacting multiple generations. In today's climate of unpredictability and change, CWLA is committed to leading the field and leveraging our expertise for child and family well-being. We are ready to utilize all available resources to promote both equity and justice, which are fundamental for the protection of children and the well-being of families and communities.

CWLA CONNECT — weekly calls to engage, inform, and update the child welfare community on executive orders, new regulations, policy changes, and budget cuts.
ADVOCACY — efforts to identify and craft policy positions, develop and implement a comprehensive Family Policy Agenda, and collaborate on amicus briefs.
ACTION ALERTS — notifications to inform and mobilize CWLA members and supporters to stem funding reductions and influence responsive public policy.
VIRTUAL CONVENINGS — sharing strategies to support, guide, and inspire the field as participants face similar challenges.
ONLINE COMMUNICATIONS/RESOURCE HUB — expanding efforts to support and engage CWLA members and aligned organizations to combat unprecedented assaults on child welfare policies and legislation.
