Folks,
Donald Trump, Mike Rogers’ team, and MAGA Republicans have started using my full name — Abdulrahman — like it's a weapon. Like the extra syllables are supposed to make you trust me less.
I think that says more about them than it does about me. That’s because when you don't have a record to run on, you run on fear instead.
Mike Rogers voted to raise his own pay, took over a million dollars from opioid makers and Wall Street banks, and cashed in for millions the moment he left Congress.
MAGA Republicans know Michiganders won't vote for that record. So instead, they’re hoping they'll vote against my name.
I've spent my whole life being relatively young, relatively brown, and relatively Muslim. Their attacks don’t faze me one bit.
What does worry me is the MAGA billionaire network working in the background to prop up Rogers.
Facts are facts, and it’s clear that Mike Rogers is a weak candidate. But Trump handpicked him, so now, Republicans have to do and spend whatever it takes to get Rogers across the finish line.
That’s why $45 million in GOP Super PAC money has already been committed to stop the Democratic nominee: me.
We can't out-spend a $45 million war chest. We never could. But we've never needed to — we just need to out-organize it, one donation and one conversation at a time. That's exactly how we won the primary, and it's the only way we’ll win this seat in November.
