The Supreme Court just gave a platform to anti-LGBTQ+ extremism

The Supreme Court is once again doing the bidding of far-right extremists.
A couple years ago, the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) convinced the Court to back a web designer's “right” to discriminate against and refuse services to same-sex couples.
Then, they helped parents censor LGBTQ+ books from public schools.
Now, they’re back with Chiles v. Salazar: a case that could greenlight conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ youth.
But instead of rejecting this dangerous pseudoscience and cruelty outright, the MAGA-packed Supreme Court is actually entertaining ADF’s argument — that mental health professionals have a First Amendment right to try to change a child’s sexual orientation or gender identity.
Make no mistake: A Supreme Court that stood for equal rights would uphold laws that protect LGBTQ+ kids from “conversion therapy” — a dangerous + broadly discredited practice. But this Court has shown, again and again, that it's beholden to the politics of the far-right.
