I have had a very busy year on the road so far, and I would not trade it for anything.
I have been traveling all across Texas, meeting people where they are, listening to what’s on their minds, and sharing why I believe our state deserves better.
I also cleared the first big hurdle and became the Democratic nominee for Governor. Now we are headed straight toward November, where we’re going to take on Greg Abbott and win.
From Brownsville to Amarillo, El Paso to Houston, I am working to earn every vote by showing up and putting in the work in every corner of our state. But I can’t do it alone.
Here are a few (very cool) pictures in film that my team took from the trail:
I had the opportunity to share the stage with my friend and rockstar, Adrian Quesada, at the Willie Nelson Luck Reunion at Luck Ranch!
Here’s a shot from our campaign office, where the team and I are building strategy and planning how we reach even more Texans before November.
I met with Lamont Taylor, a community member from Corpus Christi, who told me about how the people of Corpus are currently running out of water because Greg Abbott’s Industry friends are taking two-thirds of the water.
My husband, John, and I were walking out of a polling location hand in hand after we finished voting!
Every year in February, the City of Brownsville hosts Charro Days, where we celebrate our Mexican heritage on both sides of the Rio Grande River. I was so grateful to have been able to be in my hometown and celebrate my culture with my community.
It was a very busy and eye-opening time so far on the campaign trail, and I couldn’t have done it without you. Because I have support from you and this grassroots team, I’m able to travel across Texas and share how we’re going to kick Greg Abbott out of office and win in November.
But we still have seven months left until November, and we could use all of the support right now to keep on traveling and persuading voters to turn out on Election Day.
So, if you can, will you pitch in $5 right now to keep me on the road?
Thanks for your support. I hope to see you on the road soon!
