Dear Friend,
Wow! Thank you so much to everyone who participated in our first-ever Giving Day in honor of Sandy’s 93rd birthday. I am blown away by the response from this community, but certainly not surprised. Time and time again, you show up for bright students across the country — making sure they get the access and opportunities they deserve to turn their dreams into reality.
A lot has changed from our first academy in 1980. In many ways, it feels harder than ever to be a high school student. There’s so much pressure and competition, and it’s tougher and tougher to get into college. But one thing hasn’t — and will never — change: our belief that getting hands-on, real-world experience can transform someone’s life. It can introduce them to a career path they weren’t aware of, discover a talent they didn’t know they had, and develop critical skills to help them succeed in college and beyond.
If you share that belief — and maybe even experienced a NAF academy yourself — but didn’t get a chance to join us on Giving Day, that’s okay. You can still give today.
Thank you again to everyone for making Sandy’s birthday extra special. Moments like Giving Day remind us of what makes NAF so wonderful: a community of people like you who are deeply committed to opening doors for students. Your belief in our students is the steady heartbeat of NAF, and I couldn’t be more grateful!
Sincerely,
