As we near the final months of 2025, we wanted to take stock of this year and check in with you as we look ahead to 2026.

This first year of Donald Trump’s second presidential term has been nothing short of a disaster for our democracy and working-class communities. With control of the White House, both chambers of Congress, and a supermajority on the Supreme Court, Trump and the MAGA movement have only worsened the oligarchy while ushering in fascism.
Time and again, Democratic leadership has utterly failed to fight back with the boldness and urgency this moment calls for, staying beholden to corporate interests and the establishment rather than acting like a true opposition party and embracing new, populist leaders.
The 2026 midterm elections are approaching, and those out-of-touch, ineffective Democrats need to be challenged and replaced in Congress with the next generation of working-class, progressive champions. That’s where we come in.
Justice Democrats is gearing up to protect our incumbents from AIPAC once again while helping build the bloc by supporting a slate of Democratic primary challengers.
We’ve already made three primary endorsements so far, and we’re just getting started. But our work is driven by you, the people — your input to this survey is just as valuable as your grassroots contributions.
