The Oregon Government 2.0 project is in need of some active
volunteers. Myself and two others are active, though one is currently
on a trip. Are there any interested people here?

A bill is in the state house and has been referred to the house rules
committee. HB 3091, introduced by Rep. Ben Cannon, seeks to put the
works of the state government in the public domain. I've consulted my
representative, Bill Garrard, who is on the rules committee. He seemed
very supportive. He hasn't yet responded to my follow-ups though, and
it's been a few days. This bill may very well need some nudging from
all sorts of angles to keep it going. If anyone in this group is the
constituent of one of the rules committee's members, that person
should contact their legislator and put HB 3091 on their radar.

There's quite a bit more that this project needs to have done. All the
information anyone needs can be found on this PDX Wiki page and its
associated talk page:

I don't think this is very far outside of the group's focus. And I
dunno if anyone has already appealed to this group for help, but it
never hurts to ask. Thanks!

Before I forget, I should ask: How geographically diverse is this
group? I'm in Klamath Falls. My assumption is the group is Portland-
based. This is not a bad thing, especially if someone lives in Mary
Nolan's (<a href="http://www.leg.state.or.us/nolan/hd36.jpg">SW
Portland</a>) or Tobias Read's (<a href="http://www.leg.state.or.us/
read/hd27.jpg">Beaverton</a>) district. But it would be more exciting
if people were scattered across the state here. If someone lives in
Arnie Roblan's district (<a href="http://www.leg.state.or.us/roblan/
hd09.jpg">Coos Bay, Reedsport, Florence</a>), that would be absolutely
golden! He's the chair of the house rules committee.
