Hi all,

I've been doing a bit of work with ReCode Oregon (recodeoregon.net)
and figured you might be interested in this...

Over the past year, Recode, Cascadia Green Building Council,
Willamette Riverkeeper and many others have been organizing to
legalize the exterior reuse of graywater.

As a result of this organizing, the Oregon House Energy and
Environment Committee recently introduced HB 2080. This bill, which
will be decided in the 2009 legislative session, would remove barriers
to graywater reuse and instruct the Department of Environmental
Quality to make rules regulating the use of graywater. The text of
the bill is here - http://recode.ws/images/e/ea/HB_2080.pdf

cheers,

+ Jeremy

I think this would be a great piece of legislation to discuss at one
of our upcoming meetings. Would be able to invite or act as resident
expert on this issue? Can you provide links to website that describe
common uses and impact of grey water?

So I feel I have been a bit negligent in contacting the group, but I
have been planning on host the February Discussion this Saturday at my
house. If there is not a critical mass we can pitch other ideas.
Please give quick indication if you can make it this Saturday or not.
I know I would prefer it the discussion was limited to about and hour
and half, especially after last month's marathon.

Tell me you thoughts,
Greg

I would love to attend but already booked for most of Saturday. I
would request folks take a look at Oregon HB 2080 which ReCode Oregon
is working on.

is there time to put this together for tomorrow? few of us have seen
the grey water legislation. i'd rather wait another week to do it
right.

I agree that we should wait until next week. Lennon will be out of
town and I am busy on Saturday, but I am more than happy to host it on
Sunday March 1st. Perhaps we could have the meeting in the afternoon
so everyone has a chance to get ready for the week afterward.

informatizing info?
