Five teens arrested in Poughkeepsie assault |
POUGHKEEPSIE – Four males and one female have been arrested and charged with second-degree robbery in connection with an assault on one of two male teens who were walking in the area of the Mountainbrook Apartment Complex adjacent to Corlies Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie. One victim was physically assault and had cash and a cell phone stolen. The other was able to run and call 911. The incident occurred minutes after 2 a.m. on Wednesday. About a half hour later, City and Town of Poughkeepsie Police investigated and arrested the five in connection with the incident. Charged with felony robbery were Eric Smith, 18, Ricardo Bryan, 18, Justin Gibson, 19, Imari Lewis, 16, and Elizabeth Jones, 17, all of Poughkeepsie. They were arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail each. Neither of the victims was injured. |
