Burst: Trying to capture a picture but your subject matter won't stay still? Try burst mode. Just tap and hold the shutter button. Burst mode takes multiple photos at once so that you have a range of photos to choose from. On iPhone 11 and later, slide the shutter button to the left and hold it to take a burst of photos, then release it to stop.

Knowing the amount of processing and machine learning required to cut a dog out of a photo thrills me to no end. Many times new phone features need to be revolutionary or solve a serious problem. I guess you could say that the tap-and-hold tool solves the problem of removing a photo's background, which to at least some could be a serious matter.
I couldn't help notice the similarity to another photo feature in iOS 16. On the lock screen, the photo editor separates the foreground subject from the background of your wallpaper's photo. This makes it so lock screen elements like the time and date can be layered behind the subject of your wallpaper but in front of the photo's background. It gives the lock screen a slick magazine cover vibe.
My phone updated. Now like everyone else my magnifier in photo editor is gone!!!! I use it all the time in my business for fish painting. Does anyone know if I can uninstall the latest update or if other phones have this feature. I am so disappointed in Apple taking away features from customers, for no reason. If would have known I would have never done the update.
Open photos app on mac. Edit the photo. There u will see magnify in markup tool. And an option to hand off to iphone. The same image will appear on iphone with older markup tool options. Including magnifier.
Was so surprised when I found out that this feature had been removed in iOS17. Editing photos was much easier back then when we had it, not sure if this would be brought back cause when I tried talking to an agent the other day, it seems like they're still not aware of this? (another surprising moment for me)

Are there additional adjustments I can add to Photos edits or are there existing adjusts that would help with skin softening?
