A lot of help in terms of donations in kind poured in, and this can keep coming in over the next few weeks.

Starting tomorrow material for constructing jhuggis again will be required. A supplier for the same has been identified. What we need now URGENTLY is cash donations. By tomorrow afternoon we will also have an organisational bank account where people can transfer money electronically or deposit cheques. Total transparency will be maintained in the handling of this cash. The government officials have straight out denied the possibility of materials coming from them since, they say, the jhuggis are officially illegal occupancy of DDA land. The money required would be in lakhs, an exact figure can only be arrived upon tomorrow after on the field calculations. but we need cash tomorrow to make a down payment with the supplier.

WE REQUEST YOU TO SPREAD THIS INFORMATION AND GET ACROSS AS MUCH MONEY AS YOU CAN DONATE\COLLECT. Any of us can be contacted for making this donation.

We'll keep getting information across through the same channels we have been using.
