Mitr:
The fourth Citizen Politician debate on the Indian National Congress features a dynamic exchange between Tarun Gogoi, three-time Chief Minister of Assam, and Teesta Setalvad, one of the most courageous defendants of India’s secular ethos. Tarun Gogoi argues that the Congress party best represents the aspirations of India and counters criticisms leveled against it in terms of weak leadership, non-inclusive growth, corruption and dynastic politics. Teesta Setalvad bereaves the disintegration of its core values while recognising that it still remains hugely relevant to safeguard a centrist space in the face of massive communal onslaughts.
