Professional poker player Jennifer Harman has helped the Nevada
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals raise more than
$500,000 for the no-kill animal shelter. A portion of the funds were
used to build a new wing with indoor/outdoor facilities.

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - April 10, 2009) - The Jennifer Harman
Charity Poker Tournament (CPT) benefiting the Nevada Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is a media and fan favorite
that features animals accompanying celebrities along the red carpet,
and offers participants a rare opportunity to play and mingle with
them and dozens of world-famous poker players in a relaxed
environment.

Already confirmed are Nancy "The Voice of Bart Simpson" Cartwright,
Dancing With the Stars' Karina Smirnoff, ESPN commentator Lon
McEachern, and professional poker players Marco Traniello, Daniel
Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, Chris Ferguson, Barry Greenstein,
Phil Hellmuth, Eli Elezra, Hoyt Corkins, Andy Bloch, Chau Giang, David
Chesnoff, Brad Booth, Lacey Jones, David Williams, Jeff Madsen, Robert
Williamson III, Todd Brunson, Flaminio Malaguti, James Van Alstyne,
Shun Uchida, David Oppenheim, Erica Schoenberg, Roy Winston, David
Grey, Maria Ho, Tiffany Michelle, David Singer, Paul Darden, and Lee
Watkinson.

The grand prize is a $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event Seat,
and a Curtis & Co. watch. The top ten finishers will also win valuable
sponsored prizes.

Last year's JHCPT champion was Seth Dupre, a recreational player from
Las Vegas returning to defend his title. Professional player Kirk
Morrison won the 2007 event and turned his WSOP Main Event seat into
$154,194, finishing in 56th place.

The third annual Jennifer Harman CPT is open to the public and will
take place on Friday, April 17th, inside The Venetian Poker Room. The
buy-in for the no-limit Texas hold'em tournament is $300 + $30.
Players may purchase $100 re-buys during the first three 20-minute
levels and a one-time $100 add-on for twice the starting stack. All
proceeds benefit the Nevada SPCA.

Silent auction and red carpet walk begin at 4 PM. Celebrity emcee
Matt Savage will announce the start of the tournament at 5 PM.
