Im on windows 10 and can confirm compass even after checking install compass option during installation did not install. That wasn't surprising considering compass is 158 MB and mongo db download was very quick.

The information outlined in the steps below have been condensed to the installation of Compass and the downloading of exam content within Compass. They do not cover launching an exam, proctoring, advanced features and settings, or troubleshooting. For detailed end-to-end walkthroughs on using Compass, please refer to our Compass for Windows or Compass for Mac user guides.

Compass is an exclusive exam delivery system that provides a state-of-the-art experience to test candidates through a secure browser. It works in a native environment and is downloaded and installed directly onto your testing workstation(s).

Certiport has three exam programs that are delivered with our exclusive Live-in-the-Application (LITA) technology. During an exam, the Compass software launches the corresponding locally installed software so that portions of every certification exam can take place in the actual program environment.

A person associated to your Certiport Authorized Testing Center must download the Compass installer. This requires a Certiport login and the Certiport "Organization Administrator" (Org Admin) or "Organization Member" (Org Member) role. Learn more about roles on our Manage associations page.

The CertiportNow service allows all updates (both System and Exam Content) to run in the background if Compass is installed and the settings for updates are set to automatic (default). The workstation must also be turned on, and have an active internet connection with all Compass whitelist IPs accessible. At the bottom of most screens (including the login screen) is the CertiportNow button, which will manually launch the Windows service if needed.

Compass for Mac is an internet based exam delivery system that provides a state-of-the-art experience to Test Candidates through a secure browser. It works in a native environment and is downloaded directly on to your testing workstation(s).

Certiport has one exam program (Adobe Certified Professional) that is delivered with our exclusive Live-in-the-Application (LITA) technology when using Compass for Mac. During an exam, the Compass software launches the corresponding locally installed software so that portions of every certification exam can take place in the actual program environment. This results in an exam experience that more closely resembles what a Test Candidate would encounter in the real world.

A Certiport Organization Administrator or Organization Member associated to your Certiport Authorized Testing Center must download Compass for Mac. Learn more about roles on our Manage associations page. Compass for Mac is a self-contained program file and does not require a traditional installation.

Before an Adobe LITA exam can be delivered, the exam content must be downloaded to the local machine. Some additional exam content can be downloaded under the "Manage Exams" menu. Exam content that cannot be pre-downloaded will be served on-the-fly every time the exam is delivered.

Although, you even don't need local installation of mongoDB server. You can use a cloud database like MongoDB Atlas. It has all tools inbuilt as is very powerful. However I would still recommend doing a local installation of mongo server to avoid dependency of network while testing your app.

make sure everything you opened in your pc is saved and if you are on windows,go to start and click on the power putton and select resturt. before turning of the pc or resturt , click on the cancel button of the task manager which you will see up on the restarting process on progress. then you will be able to see the mongoDB instalation window with finish button. then click on the finish and install the mongoDB without the compass. after sucessful installation , install the compasss separetly ( )

What is your os?

You should see executable file.May be you are checking under mongodb/bin

Check under Compass install directory

On Windows from programs you can find Compass

or go to installed directory you will find Compass executable

I have installed Compass and when I try to open Compass by clicking on MongoDB Compass nothing happens my. I have tried opening it from the bin location as well; again nothing happens. I currently using windows 8.1. Do I need a newer version of windows?

Win11 x64 here:

I tried upgrading from a very old version (1.25.0) to 1.39.0, but no Compass shows up after launching. 3x compass processes are launched, but they do nothing. A log file is created, but not closed.

After each download, a gray icon of the Safari compass remains in the front of the screen, as you can see in the attached screenshot. The only solution I've found is to leave Safari and restart it. There's one new, fixed, icon for each download.

Shut down computer and hold the Option(Alt), Command, P and R keys. While holding those keys power on the computer and keep holding the keys until you hear the startup chime twice, then let go of the keys.

In High Sierra, when you click to download a file, High Sierra creates an animation/visualization of the file (via a Safari icon) being download, in a very fast-moving "n" shape. Starting where you click, going to the top of the window and then back down to the "Download" folder in the Dock. If you DON'T have your "Download" folder in the dock, High Sierra cannot perform the animation and hence the Safari icon just gets "stuck" on the screen.

Agreed, I misspoke, it's not a "fix" it's indeed a workaround. This workaround is great for users who want to continue using Safari without the Safari icon remaining on the screen after a download.

For me, I am willing to make this slight trade-off to continue using Safari unencumbered rather than switching to a different browser that are inherently slower, consume way too much memory, and shortens my available battery time. I am patiently waiting for Apple to fix this problem, but in the interim, for me, it's a small price to pay for all the benefits Safari has to a Mac user.

I also have this problem. Resetting the NVRAM didn't work nor did turning off the handoff options. I also tried emptying the cache for safari, deleting all history, deleting flash player files and disabling all extensions. After a chat with apple support they say the only option is to reinstall mac os. Its very frustrating that you cant uninstall safari and reinstall it from a dmg. I suppose if they had that option you would have numpties without a web browser and unable to contact anyone to fix their problem.

Spent some time on the phone with Apple support tonight. Long story, short: They had me update to High Sierra 10.13.3 and the problem appears to be resolved. Hopefully, that does the trick permanently.

I haven't noticed it occurring over the past few days. It happened for me anytime I downloaded something right after I upgraded to High Sierra on 26 Sep 2017. But it didn't happen on the 27th and it hasn't happened today (28th). So, I'm not sure if it was just a short lived graphical error or if it's an intermittent problem that may return at some point.

I have been having the same problem since upgrading to High Sierra. I have also had problems with bizarre issues of font substitutions in some non-Apple applications. I have wondered if it has to do with the graphics card on my late-2013 iMac (NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 1 GB).

I work in a school setting and some of the staff are having this issue. I disabled the handoff feature but the icon still pops up on the MacBooks after they download anything on safari. Is there any other setting or any step that may not be listed that needs to be done?

I've got this issue as well, but I have a mid2010 MacBook Pro. This means that I don't see the Handoff option under settings > general. Now what do I do? Honestly, I'm going to have to switch to Chrome or Firefox, this is annoying. Any ideas?

Subcontractors using the COMPASS platform need to perform various actions such as uploading documents, downloading blank 1Forms, and printing previous submissions. This knowledge base article offers detailed instructions on how to accomplish these tasks. By following the provided steps, subcontractors can efficiently manage their documentation, access necessary forms, and maintain a record of their submissions.

To upload documents, start by locating the document upload section within the 1Form. Click on the "Upload" button and select the file you want to upload from your device. The selected file will begin uploading to the specified section of the 1Form. If you need to upload multiple files, repeat the process for each file. Should the need arise, you can delete an uploaded file by clicking the "X" button next to its name in the document upload section.

Ensure you have the necessary permissions, such as Admin or Prequalification access on COMPASS, to download a blank 1Form. Access the COMPASS platform and click on the top bar drop-down menu. Choose "COMPASS 1Form" to navigate to the 1Form section. Within the section, locate the prequalification form section labeled "Step 2: Prequalification Form." Look for the "Download Blank 1Form" button in this section and click on it to download the form.

First, confirm that you have the required permissions, such as Admin or Prequalification access on COMPASS, to print previous submissions. Access the COMPASS platform and click on the top bar drop-down menu. Choose "COMPASS 1Form" to navigate to the 1Form section. Within this section, find "Step 2: Prequalification Form." Scroll down the page to view your previous submissions and select "View" for the desired submission you want to print. In the new window that opens, locate the print icon at the top right corner of the page and click on it to initiate the printing process. To print an in-progress 1Form, open the 1Form to access the homepage. From the homepage select "Print my progress" on the bottom of the window on the right under the submit button.
