Our next step will be to design the core & tools for "Control panel implementation" (any control panel). Once we are there, we should be able to release full developers tools & documentation allowing any control panel to interact with JetBackup.
Thank you for the continued interest in JetBackup for Plesk! We have received lots of great feedback on our Initial Stable release of JetBackup 5 and we can't wait to add support for Plesk as we continue our efforts in improving and introducing new features in JetBackup 5. We don't have an ETA for Plesk support quite yet but it is our next big milestone once Ubuntu/Debian support is out, which is currently in progress.
Thank you for your continued patience with this feature request. As you may know, we recently released JetBackup 5 versions that are supported on Ubuntu and Debian Systems! With that being said, our developers have begun major implementations of JetBackup 5 for Plesk and will soon begin internal testing of this version. After internal testing is complete the package will move to our QA team to perform another round of tests before being released to the EDGE tier. We still don't have an ETA for this release at this time but will provide further updates once the next big milestone is reached.
Thank you for reaching out for an update regarding Plesk Support! Our team has begun pushing internal builds for our QA team and has been working with the Plesk Team as well to help identify and address integration issues. With this in mind, I'd also like to share that we have also begun working on PHP 8 Support for our JetBackup 5 codebase, which is our next main milestone to complete for Plesk support.
Just exited a trial as PLESK was not available and no install options to get around that at present. Also no ETA as it stands so maybe 2022 could be unrealistic for this. I will be back though if anything changes. Thanks
I know there are milestones before this can be a reality, so do you have any updates at all re: "working on PHP 8 Support for our JetBackup 5 codebase, which is our next main milestone to complete for Plesk support."?
Thank you for reaching out! Regarding an update on "working on PHP 8 Support for our JetBackup 5 codebase, which is our next main milestone to complete for Plesk support.", our current roadmap has PHP 8 support coming with JetBackup v5.3.0. Our conservative estimate for 5.3.0 is Q1 2023. After PHP 8 integration arrives with 5.3.0, our next major milestone for JetBackup 5 is support for Plesk!
Thank you,
We are excited to announce that JetBackup 5.3.0 is now available for public ALPHA, allowing us to further our commitment to extending support for additional panels. Our team is working closely with the Plesk team, and we anticipate that we will be able to share more about our progress by the end of Q2 2023. Thank you for your ongoing support for JetBackup for Plesk!
Hello,
Just to clarify, support for the Plesk control panel is not yet available in JetBackup 5.
Our recent statement was intended to convey our commitment to extending support for additional control panels, including Plesk, in future releases of JetBackup. Our development team is actively working with the Plesk team, and we anticipate being able to provide updates on our progress by the end of Q2 2023.
Hello,
Just to clarify, JetBackup for Plesk is currently on our Stable tier v5.3.9. Additionally, we have also fixed a handful of reported bugs in the upcoming version 5.3.10. We greatly appreciate all of the feedback that we have received and hope for your continued support in improving JetBackup for Plesk!
Thank you,
The JetApps Team
