Pt Chev Sailing update 5th April 2026 - Easter Sunday

Very light and variable wind at 11am, racing was cancelled. Nevertheless, 7 Lasers, an Opti and 2 rescue boats, sailed round for two hours. Good light wind practice.

Bit of confusion about Rabbit starts…

And the Tugboat caught a snapper.

Played “Duckies”, now convinced this should be an Olympic sport.

 

Next sailing day 5^th April -Easter Sunday – 9 am start. Daylight saving starts.

But, due to the vagaries of weather, this may change

 

Then we change to Afternoon tides, 26^th April, ANZAC Day.

Any volunteers for duty these two days? Let me know ASAP, as the roster is being prepared this week…

 

Call for Duty;

Any Senior member who is not involved in Learn to Sail programs or an Officer of the Club,

is required to do ~one duty in the 2026 calendar year.

Shortly, you should receive an E-mail, let me know if you qualify and did not.

And vice/versa.

 

As is usual, you can nominate a day or days which suit, and I will try and accommodate.

Otherwise, it’s lucky dip.
