If you have a non-subscription or older version of Visio, there are no Azure diagram (or Cloud and Enterprise) templates available. However, you can download Azure architecture icons, which enables you to create your own Azure diagrams with symbols and icons to represent your cloud system.

To help you get started easily, we have provided a few starter diagrams using various Azure services. Visit visio.office.com, select the preferred diagram template, and start visualizing your Azure infrastructure. Our support page provides even more details on how to create your Azure diagrams.

How is this not a thing ESRI? I am presenting my ArcGIS Enterprise architecture plan to my network staff to plan our deployment. Would be nice to use the same symbols that are shown in every ArcGIS Enterprise presentation.

We have been used to 2D diagrams and blueprints for several years. Icons and symbols change from time to time but nothing really exciting happened in this field since a long time, until last year... I came across a series of 3D blueprints on Microsoft website and I wanted to create some like this ever since.

If you already downloaded any previous versions, like e.g. v2019_05_08_2, you can delete it if you do not need those previous symbols or icons anymore. Keep in mind, that if you sync your Documents folder (My Shapes is a subfolder) with your OneDrive, a pop up will appear in your taskbar to Remove those files.

Select the Microsoft_Cloud_AI_Azure_Service_Icon_Set _2019_09_11 folder, open the azure-icons folder, open the _Flat Symbols folder and then open any of the shown folders. Then select the preferred .vss file.

To use the .svg or .png files with Word, you need to open Word and create a new Blank document. Select Insert, choose Pictures and browse to your My Shapes folder. If one needs to document existing azure solutions, in build, to try and reverse engineer what has been built for Enterprise, for example Rest APIs in addition to Vms etc, is there anything out there which can rebuild some realtime diagrams other than azuredocit.

The data is refreshable in Visio, however, if you are hosting your Visio diagrams in SharePoint, and want them to be refreshable within the Visio Web Access control, then you will want to create the Azure SQL database as an External Type using Business Connectivity Services (see -data-from-sql-azure-in-sharepoint-2013-online-office-365 )

nickydd9 DarrenOC I think the official answer on Visio Stencils is -collateral/cisco-meraki-visio-stencils/ but like with most vendors they tend to range from out-of-date to painfully out-of-date. My colleagues and I have made this known internally, not sure what the mechanism is for keeping the stencils up to date, I will look into it again and make some noise.
