The latest Modul8 v3 versions are fully compatible with macOS Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma and the new Mac M1 computers. Please note that Apple has stopped the support of 32-bit applications since Catalina. Modul8 v3 being a 64-bit app, the software is now updated and compatible. However the old v2 versions of modul8 (32 bits app) will not be compatible with macOS Catalina and later systems.

modul8 uses Syphon to share frames with madMapper. To enable Syphon, go to the Output menu and select Syphon or use the Shortcut cmd+Y.
In madMapper from the media-list, the current modul8 composition will be available from the Syphon Input Media list.
modul8 can send or receive DMX values. You must first go to the modul8 Preferences then select the DMX tab to choose the DMX controller to Send or receive DMX values.
Then create or use modules to control or send DMX values.
Go to Preferences->OSC in Modul8 and make sure the OSC Input has been enabled. By default, Modul8 using port 8000 as input and since this is the default port of Vezér's OSC output things will be easier if you don't change the port number.
That is all, you are ready to go! Now you can send OSC messages from Vezér - discover the available OSC addresses in Modul8's Keyword Browser, and use Vezér's OSC Preset system to store and re-use that OSC addresses, as described in our previous tutorial: -modul8-to-vezer-with-osc/

Im from colombia, im not VJ but im trying to lear all about mapping and visual effects, i think that syphon is a really good tool to proyect program images, can syphon show the image from traktor or virtual dj in modul8 ?.
So great. Thanks for this. One more question though, how do i check to see what place my airbeam signal is coming in at? Is that is modul8 and if so where or is that is the airbeam page that pops up when i open the app? Or is it somewhere else all together? Many thanks for your help!

Actually ,I would love to see a 2K version on Touchdesigner at a reduce price, for instance 350, 400 per year, I really think this would increase the number of users and allow much more creativity and exchange of ideas in general.
