Ihave a P1606DN that I like very much. There is one funny thing - the initial

installation only offers a single driver that does not support duplex printing.

You need to finish the installation. Then you can edit and change the driver.

I was able to add the driver by trying to install the printer as a network printer then running the HP file for the local driver. Once the file got to the Plug in the USB cable there were enough of the files on the machine to get the add printer wizzard in Windows to add the printer driver. With this printer driver added the printer will print a test page but any other documents printed the printer keeps printing the document over and over again.

I read on another forum post to try the laserjet 2015 pcl5 driver and the printer will not print at all with that driver. I tried the Windows 7 64 bit and the Vista drivers (links from differnet posts I found) for the 2015 with no luck.

If you want to avoid all of the junk that comes with the HP installer, run the downloaded file and copy the folder it self-extracts to inside %temp%. It should be the newest one. Then you can just browse to the folder and install only the driver. When you close the installer, the temporary folder will also be gone unless you copy it elsewhere.

The univeral print driver just kept the print job in the queue, nothing prints. The printer is networked and not plugged directly into any one of the machines. The driver Craig recomended is the install when attached driver that will put a driver on the machine but prints in loops or not at all when bidirectional is turned off. I will keep trying and update.

i do a manual install you know create a local printer based on new tcp ip port. type in the ip address, manually find the driver files in windows for the vista 64 bit and let windows install it as a local, then uninstall it, and then find the printer in the directory also backup those drivers and put them on the server

Sorry it took so long to come back and reply. We had to physicly go to the site to try to add the ip port manually as we did not have a cable to install the printer localy at that location. Installing it via USB then changing the port to the TCP/IP port fixed the issue.

Thanks for your willingness to help and your advice. The real challenge for me here was deleting the printer in its "Driver not found" state. Once I was able to do that, I reinstalled the printer and, magically, it worked. There were some speed bumps along the way but I was fortunate that the driver specific to the HP 2035 and 2035n was able to work in the end. Had that not been the case, the smart universal printer driver would have been the next step. Thank you, again for your response and recommendation.

Right click on the printer and open the printer properties. Click on the sharing tab and then click on Additional Drivers. That is where you select it to use a 32 bit driver also. These days HP recommends using the Universal Print Driver (UPD). I recommend version 5. Stay away from version v4.7.

Just so you know, the class drivers introduced in Windows 8 cannot be installed on Windows 7, this is by design since this driver type, Type 4 driver, did not exist prior to Windows 8 so Windows 7 does not contain the code to handle them.

Alguem sabe me dizer onde posso ter acesso a todos os driver da HP LaserJet P2035n, pois o driver que est disponivel no site da HP, toda vez que baixo o driver ele instala e no da em absolutamente em nada. como se fosse s um driver para fazer uma atualizao. Pois eu preciso do driver completo, caso alguem me ajude eu fico grato!!!

With regards to the operating system compatibility various Windows and Macintosh versions. For Windows XP the users require 512 MB RAM and 350 Mb disk space to install the firmware and run the printer.
