[Benicia Poet Laureate]

Dear Poetry Lovers,

For our poetry friends not within commuting distance of Benicia as well as our locals, stay tuned for the announcements of TWO WORKSHOPS ON ZOOM this fall free to everyone.  The first will be about the healing art of poetry, and the second will focus poetry as lyrics set to music.  Our  next First Tuesday will be on September 2.

This will be a short newsletter because we are mostly on summer hiatus with one big exception . . . 

**THE POETS’ PICNIC  -  SUNDAY, AUGUST 4, 12:30 - 2:30  - BENICIA CITY PARK PICNIC TABLES  (CORNER OF FIRST AND MILITARY)

Bring your lunch, a favorite beverage, some poetry to read, and a comfy chair if you do not want to stay at the picnic table.

I will provide water and cookies and a portable speaker.

Friends and family welcome!

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7, at 7 pm, I will be featured on the Zoom meeting of Alameda Poets along with Pat Doyne.  It would be lovely to “see” you there - email Cath...@gmail.com for the Zoom invite.
