Dear Poetry Lovers,

1.  THE REQUEST: My Poetry Notes list that I inherited from the Benicia Library which was used by Mary Susan Gast has 2 problems - it has gotten Very Long (Almost 270) and it does not identify by name the owner of the email (the Google Groups policy). Everyone will continue to receive the monthly newsletter which includes Zoom and contest events.
BUT I would like to make a smaller subgroup of this list of those in commuting distance of Benicia for reminders of in person local events.  If that is you, PLEASE RESPOND
to this email with the subject line “Local list” and your name and address in the text.

2. THE REMINDER:

3. ADVANCE NOTICE: Mark your calendars for an upcoming ekphrastic poetry event,
“I LIKE WHAT I SEE”  on SATURDAY, JANUARY 11, at 2 pm at the Benicia Library.
Jon Tullis is an accomplished artist who works in different media utilizing a wide variety of subjects, including charcoal nudes. This one man show of art works will be displayed in the Citron Gallery in the Library starting December 11 until the Library has its holiday break starting December 21.  So please come view and submit your poems by December 20 so we can prepare the event.  The Library and show reopen January 2.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Kathy
