Love Poetry reveal this Sunday 2 pm! And Ekphrastic instructions

Hi All  Lovers of Poetry, Near and Far,

We welcome everyone to attend our Love Poetry Celebration and Big Reveal this Sunday at 2 pm on Zoom (so you do not have to live in commuting distance of Benicia!)  

Those who entered the contest are welcome to read one of their Love-ly poems after we announce the winners. There were so many gorgeous poems I am looking forward to an afternoon of being by turn amused, intrigued, overjoyed, saddened, humored and overall inspired!

If you were a contestant and have NOT RSVP'd as to whether you are coming or not, please do so right away!  There are some WINNERS I have not heard from, AND I REALLY WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO READ YOUR POEM!  Alternatively, I need to make arrangements for someone to read for you!!

AN UPDATE ON THE ARTS BENICIA EKPHRASTIC:

The gallery exhibit of their major show, Art of a Community, will have a soft opening Saturday, May 31, 1-5 pm (note time change).  The Gallery is open Thursdays through Sundays, 1-5 pm.  Plenty of time through June for you to select ONE of 190 art pieces to use as inspiration for your one page of poetry.  

Up to 30 poets can sign up on the sheet in the front hall.  Specific instructions are posted next to it.  The deadline for sending in your poem is July 1. The Ekphrastic event is July 12, 2-4pm.

The Gallery is also sponsoring a Big Open House for this show on June 7. ( Yes, that same date the Arts Fest was originally scheduled for  and then cancelled - 12 other galleries will have something special that day as well.)
