Subject: Natalya Sukhonos -- Poetry Readings in the Capital Region!

Dear Friends,
As most of you know, I have been hard at work on my poetry collection,
Sunlight Trapped in Stone, and it's coming out next week from Green Writers Press!
Here's a bit about it: A kaleidoscopic journey through memory and the experience of immigration, Sunlight Trapped in Stone spirals into fantastical imagery that bears witness to personal and collective conflict through the mirror-like glimmer of art.
My collection treats journeys near and far, as well as the immigration story of my family and that of others. I'm also deeply fascinated in the ways that art allows us to refract our experiences and our memories in so many fascinating ways.
To learn more about my collection, please check out my interview with the wonderful poet H. L. Hix.
I would love to see you at one or more of these events happening in our region.
1.
Caffe Lena, noted music venue: I'm the featured poet on March 24th at 7 pm, and then there's an opec mic. Please see the flyer attached.
I'm also the featured poet there.
3.
Salon Salvage in Troy, NY, April 25th, 7 pm. Salon Salvage is a super-cool multi-modal art space in Troy, and I would be reading with other poets and performers.
Please come and invite friends and anyone who might be interested! I'm really looking forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely, and thanks so much for your support,
Natalya Sukhonos, PhD (she/ her)
