Once again Veterans For Peace Tom Paine Chapter (#10) of Albany, NY will be walking in the city's annual Veterans (Armistice) Day Parade, this year on Tuesday, November 11. We are inviting all peace-making members of our community to join us to remember the great number of lives lost over many years to war, whether they be military or civilians. Please bring your signs & banners advocating for peace & calling for the end of war.

This year we will form up on Central Ave. at Robin St. at 10:30AM; the parade will step off at 11:00AM, we are in the 8th Division out of 10 Divisions. The parade will proceed East on Central Ave. & continue East on Washington Ave. to Hawk St. near the NYS Capitol. We urge all who join us to maintain the spirit of non-violence & avoid confrontation.

For many years Veterans For Peace has been working to reclaim November 11 as “Armistice Day,” a day that is dedicated to ending war once and for all. As we reflect on the true meaning of this holiday this year, Veterans For Peace is calling for an Armistice – a permanent Ceasefire in Palestine, Lebanon and throughout the Middle East. Inspired by peace-loving people around the world, we pledge to carry this message forward. We will not be complicit in genocide. No one is free until we are all free. Hope you can join us in Albany, NY on November 11.

Peace,
Dan Wilcox
