Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone!   ===========================================================   *THE CALL* Sports are important because they promote physical and mental health, build character and life skills, and foster social connections. Physically, they improve fitness and reduce disease risk, while mentally they reduce stress and anxiety and build confidence. Socially, sports teach teamwork and discipline, and create lasting friendships and a sense of community. They ground us in life and are often at the heart of lasting memories. In your poetry, tell us about you and sports. Be reverent. Be happy. Be funny. Be touching.   *GETTING STARTED*   - What is your sport? Why? - Do you love a game, the strategy, or the sounds? - Are you a fan or player?
