There have been some updates to the events happening at the space for September.
Due to scheduling conflicts with the keepers of the space, there are NO EVENTS THIS WEEKEND.
We plan to have our public events at The Fish Market Gallery on the following dates:

Collage Workshop Saturday, 9/20/25 3PM-5PM
Poetry Reading Monday, 9/22/25 6PM reception, 7PM reading begins
Collage Night Thursday, 9/25/25 6PM-8PM
Troy Night Out- Closing Reception, 9/26/25 5-8PM at The Fish Market Gallery
On 9/30, UAG will move the work from The Fish Market to the Honest Weight Food Coop
First Friday Opening Reception, 10/3/25 5-8PM at Honest Weight Food Co-op
Collage Workshop TBD (10/18 or 11/15?)
Collage Night TBD (10/9 or 10/29 or 11/6 6-8p?)

Please let us know if you can attend the events throughout the show. This way we can encourage the Poets to also attend, so you can meet and mingle. Artists are encouraged to attend & donate food for the receptions (at The Fish Market). Gallery hours are planned throughout the exhibition and by appointment.
I also wanted to apologize for the poor communication so far. Please know that we are doing our best to put together a great show, with events for the community. We are working on the website version of the show and will be posting events and promotion materials on our socials in the coming days.
Consider using your artwork image to promote the show! As we create flyers/other promos, we will share them with you so you can share them with the world!

Poems available for selection: If you'd like to participate, please fill out the form and select a poem ASAP, no later than 9/6/2025 so we can notify Poets.

Albany exhibit (Honest Weight Food Co-op): October 3 – November 16, 2025
Opening receptions, poetry readings, and hands-on collage workshops will accompany both exhibits.
How to Submit

- Fill out the form to let us know which poem you picked.

Create your artwork in response to that poem.

Title, medium, size, and price of your work

Poem title you responded to

Payment app info (if applicable)

A short artist bio (1–2 pages)

A clear photo of your finished piece
There is no entry fee, and 100% of artwork sales go directly to the artist.
**If you do not have you work ready for the September show, you could still participate in the October- November show. Please reach out for more info if needed.

The UAG is open to all and was established to promote the appreciation, practice, and enjoyment of art; art education and artistic endeavors throughout the community; and to work with the community to stimulate an interest in the arts.
It also works to support emerging artists, by providing them the opportunity to exhibit their work in a gallery. The UAG is a not-for-profit volunteer organization.
