UPCOMING POET LAUREATE EVENTS (All events FREE except where indicated)
 Sunday, March 1, 11 :30-1 :30, Northshire Bookstore (NOTE NEW TIME!): POETRY REPAIR CAFÉ. Bring an original poem to discuss with Saratoga Springs poet laureate Jay Rogoff. Sign in at his table upstairs, and he will text you when your turn comes. In the meantime, browse in the area’s best independent bookstore.

 Thursday, March 19, 6:30 pm, Northshire Bookstore: CHRISTOPHER GONZALES discusses his new memoir, RETURN OF THE LOST SON: MEMORIES OF A WAYWARD FATHER, with Jay Rogoff. Gonzales's absorbingly written book seeks to understand the life of his mysterious father, who abandoned his Latino heritage and strove to make his life a work of art. Trying to reconstruct this elusive biography before the early onset of Alzheimer's disease, the author makes startling discoveries about his father, his family, and himself.

APRIL EVENTS: CELEBRATE NATIONAL POETRY MONTH!
 Tuesday, April 1, 7-9 pm, Walt & Whitman Brewpub, 20 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs: Laureate Poetry Series: APRIL IS THE FOOLEST MONTH! Come kick off National Poetry Month with an April Fool’s Day evening of original funny poems by a dozen published poets. Whitman Brewing’s excellent beers & ales available for purchase.

 Saturday, April 25, 2 pm, Caffe Lena: Poetry Open Mic/Laureate Poetry Series: LAUREATES POETRY READING featuring ADONIS RICHARDS and JAY ROGOFF. A special Saturday matinee, with the poets laureate of Schenectady and Saratoga Springs sharing their work, followed by Caffe Lena’s traditional open mic reading, hosted by poet Carol Graser. $5 donation requested at the door.
