So I was hoping to find songs listed under the same BPM in my library. That's when I came across this BPM analyzer, so I decided to analyze all my songs, problem is about half of my songs are ".M4A" (AAC codec) and the program only accepts ".MP3" and I've converted all the M4A's to MP3's and tagged all the MP3's with the analyzer, but the convertor I used didn't keep the other tags from the old files (which I still have). What is the best options for me to put both the BPM tags and all the other ID3 tags onto either the MP3 or the M4A files? Should I reconvert all the M4A's with a new convertor that keeps the tags and then analyze them all? Or is there an application that can combine M4A and MP3 tags onto one of the files? As you might have guess my library is too big to go through them one at a time. I'm currently hovering at over 6000 songs.

I decided to just convert all my music using Foobar2000 which as it turns out keeps the tags intact during the conversion, and from there re-tag the BPM for all the music using the analyzer because moving the tags would have been more of a hassle. It took a day or two, but it was faster than other methods would have been. If anyone wants to suggest whether it would be more suitable to keep all my music in AAC or OGG feel free to give me your reasons in the comments to this post because I may or may not be leaving them as MP3's.

Hello,

I am new to Sonic academy and to music in general. I watched the remix tutorial, and I was wondering what to do about warping if you have vocal tracks that have different BPMs? The individual vocals tracks range from 94.33 to 128.14. Most are in the 94-97 range. The instrumental track is 97.04. I used MixMeister BPM analyzer to determine the BPM. Thank you in advance.

Maybe some kind of test.
Like take just one of your original tracks
and clone it to a new track - mix those two and see if you
have a problem.
It sounds to me like the tracks your are working with have
slightly different tempos.
For example - just last night I was trying to determine the tempo
of Pink Floyds Speak to Me Breathe. I put it in MixMeister BPM analyzer and
found it was at 64.2bpm. So I created a click track in Audacity and lined
it up under the song. It played dead on to the click track for maybe 8 measures,
but then started drifting off. So all I can figure is that the song was not tempo
perfect throughout. These small but significant tempo differences could be what
you are hearing in your mixdown. Does that make sense?

shows 88.000 in the menu bar but once it's bounced and analyzed (with Mixmeister BPM analyzer or Ableton) it shows as having a bpm of 88.07 (in bpm analyzer) and 88.21 (in Ableton). I'm not sure what's causing it but this is making problem when trying to mix these songs in a DJ set for example, I'm also pretty OCD about these uneven tempos in my tracks.

If I load a commercial audio song that someone else made that has a bpm of 130 for example (which both analyzers confirm to be the same) Logic doesn't change a thing. Only on projects I'm working on, the tempo changes after export.

Even though the other analyzers like Ableton and Mixmeister show a discrepancy with eachother they BOTH show an uneven BPM amount that shouldn't be there at all. I just want to know why and how to fix it. Thanks

These analyzers are very accurate, every single other song I've scanned with them in my library show up properly such as 130.00bpm, 140.00bpm, 100.00bpm but ONLY these tracks I'm working on in Logic and bounced are showing up with weird numbers at the end for some reason. I've never seen this before
