ALSO:

I just wanted to make sure you and your colleagues knew about the upcoming symposium at the Poetry Foundation. This Saturday, we're hosting poets Bill Berkson,Douglas Kearney, and John Yau; visual artists Terry Adkins, Lesley Dill, and Mildred Howard; and April Sheridan and Stephen Woodall of the Center for Book and Paper Arts at Columbia College Chicago in a day-long event exploring the intersections of visual art and poetry. The program, Sitting Between the Sea and the Buildings, takes its name from first line of John Ashbery’s “The Painter” and is organized in connection with the exhibition currently on view at the Poetry Foundation, Joan Mitchell: At Home in Poetry

The symposium will include talks, readings, demonstrations, and performances and conclude with the announcement of a commissioned performance piece, a collaboration between Terry Adkins and Douglas Kearney to be unveiled at a later date. The full schedule and additional details are available here

We hope you'll join us!

Best,
