A Poem For Today - Listen

Listen

Words can only

Carry the perfume

Of the Mystery.

Will you listen anyway,

With your heart?

The way a mother

Listens for the cry

Of her child

A lover, for the voice

Of his beloved.

Let the perfume

Beckon you inward

To discover the sweetness of Being

To hear the language of the soul.
