Dinsmore would later join two notable desert rock acts in 1998. The first of which would be joining Unida in the Summer of 1998. Dinsmore's tenure as the bassist would be short-lived though he would record four tracks with the band in August 1998 and then an album's worth of material in January 1999. Eddie Plascencia would serve as the band's bassist for North American tours and shows in that time. Both of the studio sessions would culminate in two releases: a split with Dozer on 20 April 1999 entitled The Best Of Wayne-Gro / Coming Down The Mountain and the band's only official album Coping With The Urban Coyote on 16 November 1999.

Dinsmore would also notably perform with Ché, alongside Brant Bjork and Alfredo Hernández. The band recorded their only album Sounds of Liberation and released it on Man's Ruin Records in 2000, not long after Brant's own solo album Jalamanta was released. Ché as a band did actually perform on one known occasion: A CMJ Showcase at The Justice League in San Francisco on 16 September 2000. This showcase would also feature Drunk Horse, Suplecs, Alabama Thunderpussy and Eyehategod.[1]
