Individuals who currently reside in developing countries are eligible to attend at no cost. These countries are defined by the World Bank as low income (Tier 1) and lower-middle income (Tier 2). If you reside in one of these countries, please use the registration portal to take advantage of the no-cost registration.

High and Middle School students are eligible to receive no cost registration. Students will be required to upload at least one type of accepted credentials in the registration portal that verifies their current enrollment in a K-12 school. Anyone under the age of 18 will also be required to upload a child waiver form signed by their parent or legal guardian. All uploaded documents will be reviewed by AGU staff. Once reviewed you will receive confirmation via email that your registration has been approved or denied. See below for types of accepted credentials.

AGU will offer reduced registration to K-12 teachers/informal educators. These persons are required to upload at least one type of accepted credentials in the registration portal that verifies their current employment status as a K-12 educator or informal educator to receive reduced registration. AGU defines an informal educator as someone who is not associated with a school but is instead associated with a scientific museum, center or planetarium whose job duties involve creating educational materials for students. The uploaded credentials will be reviewed by AGU Staff. Once reviewed, you will receive confirmation via email that your registration has been approved or denied. New this year! AGU will offer a reduced registration fee of $365 to both members and nonmembers who currently reside in Turkey. Please use the registration portal to take advantage of the reduced cost registration.

WEF does not authorize or endorse any other independent broker. For your own protection, please do not make reservations or register through any unknown housing, travel or registration company. Neither WEF nor CMR can assist you with reservation problems if you book through another agency.

Once your registration is complete, your Letters of Invitation will automatically be sent to the email provided during registration. Print copies will be mailed only at the requesting conference attendee's expense. UPS or FedEx account number must be provided by the participant in order to receive a print copy of the Letter of Invitation.

Full payment is due when you register online with a credit card (VISA, MasterCard and American Express). Checks, purchase orders, wire transfers and cash are not accepted online or onsite at the conference.

SPIE Members receive conference and course registration discounts, which are applied at the time of registration. SPIE Student Members receive even greater discounts on courses, particularly during early registration.

SPIE Student Member registration rates are available only to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full time and have not yet received their PhD. Post-docs may not join SPIE as a Student Member.

There is a $75 USD service charge for processing refunds for conference or course registrations. Requests for refunds must be received by 12 January 2024; all registration fees will be forfeited after this date. Membership dues and special events are not refundable.

Attendees who are members of ACM, IEEE, or SIGHPC, the sponsoring associations of the SC Conference Series, pay discounted registration fees. Visit the membership pages of ACM, IEEE, or SIGHPC for membership information and online applications.

Registration for Workshops gives you access to all three days of the workshops. To add Workshops to your Technical Program registration, select the Workshop Add-On. Or you may register for Workshops Only. The Workshops Only registration includes the workshops on Sunday, Monday, and Friday. It does NOT include access to the Exhibits, but you may combine a Workshops Only registration with other registration options (Exhibits Only, Tutorials) in order to gain access to the Exhibits.

All children (of any age) must be registered at the Special Assistance desk in the registration area. Access policies differ according to the age of the child and the particular conference venue involved.

All changes and cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellation requests must be received by 11:59 pm EDT, Friday, October 13, 2023 to qualify for a refund less a $50.00 processing fee. All requests must include a brief description for cancelling. Cancellation requests received after the cancellation deadline of Friday, October 13, 2023 are not eligible for refund or credit, regardless of when registration was received. Amounts less than $50 will not be refunded.

Credit card refunds are reviewed once a week while registration is open; they can take up to 10 days to process. Check refunds are processed approximately six to eight weeks after the end of the conference. Wire payments are refunded by check six to eight weeks after the conference.
