I am cc'ing the person who sent me the information:

My Grandmother was Mae S. Poe born in GA, her father Jim Suggs B: 6/20/1859 D: 10/11/1928 in AL married Fannie Poe B: 8/25/1895 D: 4/16/1921 in AL, They had 10 children Lucy, Mae, Porter Loven, JD, Rosie, John Luther, Jenny, Neelie, Thomas curtis, Cecila. I believe some were born in GA and some in AL. Mae, my grandmother married Earnest Andrew Mckinney & Lucy married a Dickerson.
Thanks for any help.

First, her grandmother was not a Poe she was a Suggs since she states that
Mae's father was Jim Suggs.

Second, the birth date for Fannie Poe B: 8/25/1895 is probably incorrect and
should read either 1861 or 1865 based on my limited research tonight.

Third, I had nothing in files so I did some digging and found the following
conflicting data online.

Boy did I mess that one up, my grandmother was a Suggs, it was her mother that was Fannie Poe before marrying Jim Suggs & she was born Aug. 25, 1865 died Apr. 16, 1921, she is buried at Harmony church cemetery here in Anniston Alabama (not that that matters). She may not have been full blooded Cherokee thats just something i've always heard because of all the features and skin color my family has.
I really appreciate all the information you have given me.
Thanks
