The best way for many people to get to the event is by walking or cycling. Angerland is less than a 15 minute walk from most of the Southern part of Hatfield and there is a safe place to cross South Way, right by the entrance to the event.
There are several bus services running from various points around Hatfield to the event. These bus services will be running from approximately 4pm until 6.15pm and return services will coincide with both the end of the fireworks display and also the end of the evening (approx 9pm).

On late Sunday afternoon, Trooper Phillip Jett pulled over a 22-year-old Springfield man on Route 91 in Hatfield for canceled insurance. When approaching the 2019 Infiniti SUV, he saw the fireworks and charged the driver for unlawful possession. He was also charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, amongst other things.
It is illegal to use, possess or sell fireworks in Massachusetts. This includes fireworks that are purchased legally in other states and transported across state lines. According to state law, fireworks include things like firecrackers, cherry bombs, sparklers, Roman candles, and a variety of other items that include explosive or flammable compounds.
But the weather should be just fine a variety of outdoor recreation options for Independence Day on Saturday. Those whose plans include public lands can plan for sun and fun, but should leave the fireworks at home.

The City of Pikeville announced today the fireworks scheduled for Monday, July 4 are being rescheduled to Friday, July 8 at 9:45 pm. The fireworks will be held in conjunction with a special Main Street Live beginning at 7 pm at the Mountain Top Media Stage at Appalachian Wireless Arena.
This investigation started on July 4, 2020 when members of the Portland Police Bureau declared an unlawful assembly in the area of Southwest 4th Avenue and Southwest Salmon Street. Approximately 500 people gathered in the space. Individuals in the crowd started throwing projectiles including fireworks toward police.

The ACLU asked the court to sanction and hold in contempt federal agents for violating the temporary restraining order. One journalist, Jonathan Levinson of Oregon Public Broadcasting, said in a statement to the court that while he was trying to take a photograph on Friday, he saw a federal agent raise his weapon, aim it at him and fire several rounds.
Kat Mahoney, a legal observer with the ACLU, said a federal agent fired a paintball at her, hitting her in the head Friday. The next night, an agent sprayed her and three other observers in the face as they told him they were legal observers and pointed to their credentials.
Two groups protesting U.S. agents sent to Portland also have sued. The lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security alleges it violated the Constitution by sending federal law enforcement to disperse crowds with tear gas and rubber bullets.
Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty on Monday had asked Wolf for a meeting to discuss a cease-fire and their desire for the removal of the extra federal agents deployed to Portland.
Protesters have tried almost every night to tear down a fence erected to protect the building, set fires in the street and hurled fireworks, Molotov cocktails and bricks, rocks and bottles at the agents inside.
