Just posting to show interest in the project. I hope this project is
still going strong!

Hello!

Well it is going strong in the sense that people are still using PodSixNet in projects, however there has not been much change to the codebase in a good length of time. I hope this is a good sign!

Some people were doing a Python 3 port and that seemed to be going well but I am not sure what has happened with that now and I have not heard from them for a while.

Yes, the python 3k port is in the google code repository under the podsixnet-py3k-branch.  The only thing it's missing is converted example .py files (should be trivial changes).  The majority of changes were to the rencode.py file, and as rencode.test() works I believe the port is complete.

I'm curious to see what other people use podsixnet for, here are a few of my works in progress:
