HI Everyone,
I just uploaded a word document that is entitled Corecast Naming
Conventions and Color Coding Guidelines. Please take a look at this
document and leave your add a comment on your thoughts on this
document.SInce we will house all of our corecasts on a central server,
we felt it necessary to have a common way to name the podcasts
(corecasts). Does the doucment make sense to you? What should I add
or change? And, very importantly, what font(s) should we use in our
podcasts that will coordinate with your fonts you use in your
coassroom with kids? I left the font column blank as I thought you all
could help me with this.

Thanks in advance for your input,
Cindy

Hi Cindy,
Thanks for your dedication and hard work on this. I hope I'm not the
only one, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be able to access
under the How to Name and Example columns. Also, I had difficulty
finding out Voice Thread. When I clicked on the link from this group
setting it didn't work. Sorry for the confusion. Lastly, I like that
the poems are "classic" from the site you asked us to check out. I
think the poems I would select would be the ones that students can
connect with and relate to. Valerie

I can't open the link to the conventions page. I get a message that
says I need a converter. Does anyone else have this problem?

The fonts I prefer are Comic Sans or Modern Print because the "a's"
are made the way we teach them.

Hi Friends,
Thanks to Anne's comments about needing a converter, I realized the
Naming Conventions/Color Coding document that I posted was the Office
2008 version which many of you may not have on your computers. So, I
have added an Office 2004 version which you should all be able to
open. You will see the .doc suffix at the end of the file name's link.

Sorry about the confusion!

I use Comic Sans also when creating things for my students.

I think the naming conventions are a great idea. I don't understand
what the #'s are for under the vocabulary section specifically the
sight word example. I also use Comic Sans for all of my classroom
worksheets/notes/materials.

I keep getting a message saying the Voice Thread is under
construction. I've been trying since the weekend, Saturday, to get it
to come up.
I use Comic Sans as well because of the a's and g's as others have
stated.
Corecasts seems like a common way to label things but a bit long and
tricky? I like the color idea and realize we do need something common
with so many people creating and trying to store these.

Comic Sans is fine ....I think the children should get used to reading
and seeing different fonts.

Definitely comic sans though I also have a Zaner Bloser font that is
great; anyone have that? What does everyone use as a font for a
tracing model (the dashed letters students can follow)?
