I noticed the Apple Tree script was not posted so I thought I would
share what I wrote this evening so others wouldn't have to create
their own script, too. Feel free to make any changes...
Apple Tree: skill work=sight words

Please take out the blue sheet with the nursery rhyme
The Apple Tree

The title of this poem is The Apple Tree

Do you know where apples come from? They grow on apple trees. In the
Fall the apples ripen and are ready to be picked and eaten! This poem
is about 2 apples in an apple tree

Please point to the title. It’s bigger and darker than the rest of
the
words. The title is The Apple Tree
Let’s read this poem together.
Put your finger on the green dot.

Ready,
Way up high in the apple tree,
Two little apples smiled down at me.
I shook that tree
Just as hard as I could.
Down came the apples,
Mmmmmm… they were good!

Now let’s sing this poem together
Put your finger on the green dot
Ready, let’s sing….

Nice work! Let’s look at this poem and see if we can find and point to
any of the sight words we know. Let’s look for the word ‘I’. Please
start at the top and look for the word I. Did you find it? Do you see
another ‘I’? Great job! There are two ’I’s in this poem. Let’s look
for one more word. Can you find the word ‘the’? Remember to start at
the top and look for ‘the’ which starts with the naughty brothers
‘th’. Did you find it? ‘the’ is spelled t-h-e. Can you find the word
in another part of the poem? Nice job!

Had the same issue with the Hey Diddle, Diddle script...Here is what I
came up with this evening...

Hey Diddle, Diddle Script

Please take out the blue sheet with the nursery rhyme
Hey Diddle, Diddle

The title of this rhyme is Hey Diddle, Diddle.
Introduction: This is a silly nursery rhyme about many different
animals. Can you imagine a cow jumping over a moon?

Please point to the title. It’s bigger and darker than the rest of
the
words.
Let’s read this rhyme together.
Put your finger on the green dot.
Ready,
Hey diddle, diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon,
The little dog laughed to see such sport,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.

Now sing this rhyme with me
Put your finger on the green dot
Ready, let’s sing….

Hey diddle, diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon,
The little dog laughed to see such sport,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.

Great work! Now we are going to look for the word ‘the’ in this poem.
Let’s look at the first line. Do you see the word ‘the’? If you said
‘no’ you’re correct! Now let’s look at the second line. Do you see the
word ‘the’? Remember ‘the’ is spelled t-h-e. Do you see it more than
once? You’re right! The word ‘the’ is printed twice in this line. They
look different from each other because one starts with a capital T and
the other starts with a lowercase t. Now look through the rest of the
poem and count how many times you see ‘the’. Did you find the word
‘the’ 5 more times? Remember some start with a lowercase t and some
start with a capital T. Great work!
