Hi group!

I have created a tutorial for recording "phone interviews" on a budget
for podcasting purposes. My tutorials focus on Mac OS X and Garageband.
Anyone got any others? ;)

I've been using Gizmo (http://gizmoproject.com) to record for now.

that

I´ve been using teamspeak (www.goteamspeak.com) and it works
beautifully, and we have recorded a conference with 6 people! this
software was built so that gamers could talk to themselves during
Counterstrike games - and we know these gamers are all about
performance,right? :-)

there is also another solution, though it is a bit complicated and
bizarre. you can use your pc´s stereo mixer feature to record all the
pc´s audio, but if you do this with skype you end up with some echo (i
can explain why later if you guys want to know). I´ve been thinking of
a solution for this: instead of using the same board or another one for
skype, use a USB mic for the skype input and another one analog, at the
same time, for your voice. It should work, it´s cheap, but it´s
bizarre. :-)

I'm using the Audacity to record interviews.
I just need to select the "Record Master" in the software so it records
everything directly from the sound board.

It is working with me.

If you are using Windows, check your Sound - Recording preferences to
see if you can record from "Stereo Mixer", if you can, then you can set
Cooledit / Adobe Audition / Audacity / Your recording app of choice to
record from the stereo mixer. I know this worked for me when I gave it
a test, and it is how I record my podcast normally.

I'm currently using SkyLook with Skype. I bought 10 Euros worth of
Skype time, and have done two 30 minute interviews with people across
North America and still have about 9$ left so I'm quite happy with it.

Saves it as an MP3 file all set and ready to go.
