When WordPress is set up with PodPress, how does the RSS feed
work? Is there just one RSS feed that serves for subscriptions to
the blog and subscriptions to the podcast?
What about links and buttons for subscribing to the blog versus
subscribing to the podcast?
For people who want to subscribe to the blog, I guess they just click
the RSS link or button and their browser will add the feed to
whatever kind of feed reader they are using.
For people who want to subscribe to the podcast, I guess they will
use the iTunes button or other customized web-based podcatcher button
(like Yahoo!) or they will have to copy and paste a link into their
podcatcher. Is that right?
What is the best way to present the link for those who need to copy
and paste, just a line of text on the page?
I'm trying to figure out what kinds of buttons and links I need to
facilitate both kinds of subscribers. I'm not up to date on the blog
scene and have mostly used Juice and iTunes for podcasts so any
insights or explanations about the process would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

The same as it did before, but now with enclosures listed when you add
media files.

Nope. WordPress creates a half-dozen or so different syndication feeds.
PodPress doesn't change that.

You can add all the buttons and links you like. As opposed to offering
post-only or podcast-only feeds, there exists some debate. I'm in the
"one feed to rule them all" camp just so it's easier on your listening
audience. If you have no specific need to offer multiple feeds (and
there are those that do), stick with one.

Not quite that easy, as not all browsers interface with feed readers.
Many will have to cut and paste.

If you implement a link to your podcasts iTMS link, iTunes will launch
when the link to it is clicked. Other customized buttons exists, but
again many will have to cut and paste.

Many theories. Depends on your audience. Tech savvy folks will know how
to cut and paste. Less adept may need you to spell it out for them. It
really depends on how in-depth you want to go. Listening to podcasts,
IMHO, isn't yet easy enough, and it's difficult to cover all the bases
as a content producer.
Rather than figure out the easiest way to get them to subscribe, focus
on an easy way to get them to LISTEN. If your content is compelling
enough, they'll work through the efforts to subscribe -- provided that
fits their needs. Be prepared for many people (most, perhaps) simply
visiting your site and listening to new episodes rather than subscribing
to a feed.
