Hello,

Ok, I've been fighting with my iTunes for 3-4 days now. I went on the Apple Discussion
forums where at least 20 or more others are having the same problem and no one has
even acknowledged any of us with the issue. So, I am coming to the group here, since you
all have had to deal with listeners/viewers in the past who can't get their own poop to
work.

So, my Video Poscast subscriptions have all been working flawlessly for months and
months. Then, this last Wednesday, I update my shows, they all download, I then realize
that I have ZERO new Video Podcasts on my iPod, but I saw it download at least 10. So, I
went back in and saw there were new ones after the update, I thought it was odd, so I did
the Sync again to re-download them. I watched them all download, then did my iPod
Sync... but... nothing copied over. Look again... ZERO new Video Podcasts. Do that 3 more
times and it just keeps happening. In the next few days I have done EVERYTHING I can
think of. I even nuked ALL my podcasts and subscriptions from my iTunes, completely
scrubbed my Mac of ANYTHING to do with iTunes, and re-installed iTunes, then put back
in some Video Podcasts and a few Audio ones to check... SAME PROBLEM! <sigh>

So, not to be defeated... I went in and cleaned out all the iTunes poop once again, re-
booted, and then installed an OLD version of iTunes that had the video Podcast support,
thought MAYBE it was some bad update in iTunes. <sigh> NOPE same problem.

Now, NOW AND THEN, if I nuke a video podcast subscription and put it back in, it starts to
work for one or maybe two shows... then back to the whole, "I'll download the show, the immediately delete it" attitude. I can even watch it download the file while looking in the
iTunes directory on the hard drive while it is downloading. And then once it is done, it
AUTOMATICALLY deletes it...

Anyone here have a single clue why this would happen?

Thanks,

D.

Derek,

That is very strange... I've heard of that happening, but I've yet to
see it on my mac (latest iTunes and 10.5.2)

Ya,

I am completely stumped. I've been searching and searching and there
seems to be ZERO help for this problem. Grrrr...

And I don't want to re-format the whole machine just to have it
happen again. There has to be some stupid switch in some software or
a file in the wrong place or something.
