Just wanted to say hey all, and that I have been looking for a forum
like this for a while now. After years in Marine Corps
Radio/Television and then another 10+ in IT, I finally decided to do a
career/hobby "Mash-up" and try out this Podcast thing. It worked
great and I can tell you, it feels good to be back in the world of
creative writing/'casting!
See where it goes from here.

Good luck with the new show, SimplyRik - I hope it goes well, and I'll
try to check it out when I am next near a computer with speakers.

Welcome to podcasting, hope you enjoy it. Sounds like you've got a lot of
experience to draw on, and it'll be interesting to see how you think
things compare and what carries over from what you've done before.

Thanks. Finished the 2nd one last night. Past the technical
education bit now and moving on to the format/details for fun's sake.
You know, its funny you should mention that. The last time I did
anything like this I was sitting in a Radio Studio with 2 CD Players,
2 Cart machines, 2 Turn Tables, Reel-to-Reel, Cassette Deck and a 48
Channel Mixer.
Doing it in my basement, with nothing but my MacBook Pro seems almost
as if I am missing something. Of course that was live and this is
produced, but the more I scratch the surface, the more I will have fun
with the post-production stuff.
