Beginning to set up a PodCampCT-specific Mailchimp account. It occurred to me that one might already exist. Anyone know if that was the case? (I remember seeing a mailchimp footer on something related to PodCampCT, but I can't recall where.)

Thanks,

Jim

P.S. The first field in Mailchimp's registration form is, naturally enough, for an email address. But as soon as I type "@" in the field, it pops up an error box: "Sorry, that's an invalid email address." ?! I'll be switching browsers and hoping for better luck...

Eventbrite has the ability to send email blasts to the attendees. I can use the old event in my account to send a blast to all the past attendees. Just send me the copy.

I had used MailChimp with my own account to send out emails for the 2010 PodCampCT. I'd agree with Joe that sending them through Eventbrite works just as well. I think the main reason we used it was for those folks that had pre-registered to make sure they were still attending and push them toward the formal registration with a special pre-reg discount code (or ticket?) we'd used.

Thanks. We ended up using an EventBrite mail blast to reach the 2010 attendees. Also, the mail chimp issue with the "@" symbol spontaneously corrected itself. :)
